Hi Family and Friends,
We are off on our summer cruise to Southeast
Alaska on Wednesday, May 9, 2007. If you prefer
to NOT receive these emails please let me know.
During this cruise I will occasionally use “Pocketmail” for
sending email messages. (If you’re interested
in the device, go to www.pocketmail.com) Fair
warning: the messages will probably contain typos
because the device is a thumb typer. But it is
a great method for sending and receiving text-only
email because all I need is a telephone connection
to reach the internet.
I’ll be using
my laptop and a wireless connection to the
internet whenever possible so I can include
pictures along with the stories of our cruising
adventures. I hope to be able to connect more
easily this year at marinas because I finally
have my long-yearned-for external antenna.
